2017
The Recovery College found a new home in Anglesea Road and as a natural progression, The Recovery Café was born.
2018
We became a stand alone social enterprise and renamed ourselves Stir. New name but same principles.
2019
We had a complete redesign, a whole new team and a new menu. We are now open on the weekends too!
All our food is made from scratch, with ingredients from our own allotment where possible and where not (meat and fish for example), is sourced as locally as possible. Volunteers from the College can come and get real-life experience and if they so choose (and many have) can go on and work in the hospitality industry.
While we will always be a café for our students, we are very much part of the wider local community and as inclusive as possible which is best reflected in our price points and our friendly, attentive staff.
